An interpreter, not a cable
A connector translates between Quoterly and one outside system. It knows that a "Person" in your CRM is a contact in Quoterly, so neither system has to change.
Connectors
Your customers and contacts live in your CRM. Your products, prices and stock live in your ERP. Connectors let Quoterly use both, so your team stops copying between systems.

How connectors work
A connector translates between Quoterly and one outside system. It knows that a "Person" in your CRM is a contact in Quoterly, so neither system has to change.
If another system owns a field, it is read-only in Quoterly and says so. Fields only Quoterly cares about stay fully editable on the same screen.
Quoterly is a complete product on its own. Connecting a CRM or ERP adds to it; it is never required.
Who owns what
Ownership is decided field by field, not screen by screen. The table follows the setup you picked in the diagram above.
Showing: CRM + ERP
| Information | Owned by |
|---|---|
Companies and contacts Names, addresses, people | Your CRM |
Products Codes, descriptions, units | Your ERP |
Prices, discounts and VAT For each customer and quantity | Your ERP |
Stock How many, and in which warehouse | Your ERP |
Quotes Everything on the quote itself | Quoterly |
Quotes remember
When a line is added, Quoterly records the price, discount, VAT rate and description as they were at that moment. If your ERP changes a price next week, last month's quote does not change underneath you.
